  • Carry out the documented review: hours and cycles, airworthiness directives, maintenance programme, modifications and repairs, life-limited parts, mass and balance.
  • Conduct the physical survey of the aircraft and match it against the records.
  • Handle findings, write the report, issue or extend the ARC.
  • Avoid common errors through case studies.

Frequently asked questions about the ARC training

1. Why a course on the ARC?

An aircraft certificate of airworthiness is only valid together with a valid airworthiness review certificate (ARC). This course explains how the airworthiness review is prepared, performed and documented, and how the ARC is issued or extended.

2. Who is this course for?

Airworthiness review staff of CAMOs and CAOs, independent certifying staff (Part-ML), managers and compliance staff of continuing airworthiness organisations, and aircraft owners and operators.

3. How long does the course take?

About 1.5 hours. It includes 6 narrated videos, 6 PDF summary sheets, a checklist, 6 practice quizzes and a final assessment. You take it at your own pace.

4. What is the course based on?

Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014: Annex I (Part-M), in particular M.A.901 and M.A.710, and Annex Vb (Part-ML), in particular ML.A.901 and ML.A.903, with their AMC & GM.

5. What score do I need to get the certificate?

You need at least 80% correct answers in the 20-question final assessment (16 correct answers). A second attempt is available if you fail.

6. How much does the course cost?

The course costs €45. The price includes access to the videos, summary sheets, checklist, quizzes, final assessment and certificate. To train a team, group and blended formats are available on quote.

7. Are the module quizzes graded?

No. They are practice quizzes: attempts are unlimited and the answers are shown with an explanation for each question.

8. Does this course authorise me to issue ARCs?

No. Authorisation to perform airworthiness reviews depends on the qualification and experience requirements of the regulation and on your organisation’s procedures. This course gives you the regulatory knowledge expected in this role and supports your training records.

9. Can I take the course on a mobile or tablet?

Yes, the course works on computers, tablets and smartphones. You pick up where you left off.

10. Does the certificate expire?

No. Your organisation’s procedures may require recurrent training: we recommend a refresher whenever the regulation or your procedures change significantly.
