Your lead instructor: Alain François

Pilot, airline manager, compliance expert

Alain François began his career in the cockpit, flying business aircraft (King Air and Beech 1900), then ran a business-aviation airline in Lyon. He holds the French airline pilot certificate and an FAA Commercial Pilot certificate. He later led airport and ground operations at Saint-Étienne and Marseille Provence airports.

Teaching experience

EASA ATPL Technical Knowledge Instructor, IATA Dangerous Goods instructor and EN 9100 trained lead auditor. He teaches FAA air law and EASA Part 21, Part 145 and Part-CAMO at ESTACA aerospace engineering school.

Compliance from the inside

He has served as OSAC-approved Quality Manager for an EASA Part 145 and Part-CAMO organization, and as Compliance Monitoring and Safety Manager for a Part 145 repair station at Paris-CDG.
